VIBRANT and CREATIVE Footbridge Balustrade Design Competition

This is what DCSS Ltd (NZ) was looking for in their 3D design

We are working with a local council to upgrade an existing footbridge. The bridge is looking tired and neglected. We have built a 3D model (in sketchup) of the core structure and geometry and want ideas on attractive colour schemes and a new balustrade design (AKA bridge barrier).

WE NEED CREATIVE DESIGNERS!

Any part of the structure can be painted to create an eye-catching colour scheme with your proposed balustrades added. We want a vibrant and creative colour scheme and balustrade design to show to our clients.

There are three types of balustrades required:

TYPE 1: Needs to be a minimum 1100mm high with a handrail at 1000mm high. Balustrade will fix to the outside of the existing timber beams. The balustrade must be non climbable. No gap in the balustrade shall be large enough to pass a 100 diameter ball.
